Finswimming

FINSWIMMING

Finswimming is a fast-paced and dynamic sport. Swimmers use fins to swim faster and more efficiently. This sport combines strength, technique and endurance. Finswimming is for both speed enthusiasts and high-level athletes who can participate in several disciplines such as monofin, bifins and snorkel swimming.

Within CMAS Belgium, finswimming is represented by Lifras and NELOS. Both leagues offer training, organise national championships and participate in international competitions. CMAS Belgium sets the minimum requirements for athletes to be delegated as part of the national team to European and world championships. It oversees the calendar of the national competition. Homologates and keeps track of national finswimming records.   Thanks to its collaboration with Lifras and NELOS, Belgium is well represented internationally.
